How To Get The Bow Of Light Botw

Bow of light question???

My 7yr old just beat botw and is upset because he didnt get to keep the bow of light in his inventory. The game glitched out at the end as there was a scratch on the disc. Just wondering if it's because the game glitched or do you not get to keep the bow of light at the end of the game?

From what I understand, you can use a certain Amiibo to obtain the bow of light. But I know for a fact that you do not get to keep it under normal circumstances. Also, if you don't take a picture of it when you have it, that spot will always be blank in the Compendium.

You can buy the picture of it for the compendium from the guy at Hateno Ancient Lab :)

I didn't realise that when I first did it, assuming you got to keep the bow.

So the next time I went to beat Ganon I was like

Of course, I'd done the same to take a picture of him the first time, but it still amuses me.

Hey I'm new to the game, can you explain the pictures of weapons for the Compendium? Is this a side quest?

I'm pretty sure once you beat the game it just resets you back to your last save before you entered the castle. So no, you don't get to keep the bow.

You aren't supposed to keep the Bow of Light.

The bow of light you receive from Zelda is not an item you can keep. However there is a different called the bow of twilight that is much like the bow of light that you get from the twilight princess amiibo. It turns all arrows fired from it into light arrows.

You can't keep the bow of light after beating the game. However, the twilight princess zelda amiibo has a small chance of dropping the twilight bow, which has greater range than the bow of light, but does less damage and can break.
